Michael Wayne Flanagan, 63, Russell County, KY

He was a member of a highly regarded Russell County, KY family. He was a land surveyor and a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church, where he wasa Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a son of the late Glendo Wesley & Doris Bernard Flanagan. His wife, Kathy Ann Foley Flanagan, survives. He leaves three direct living survivors.

Michael Wayne Flanagan, 63, of Russell Springs, KY died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Michael Wayne Flanagan will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Dan Flanagan and Bro. Joe Sullivan officiating. Visitation after 6pmCT, Monday, August 3, 2015. Interment will be in the McBeath Cemetery. Special music by Doug Bunch, Mariam Flanagan.



Michael Wayne Flanagan, 63, Russell County, KY


He was born September 4, 1951 in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY. He was the son of the late Glendo Wesley and Doris Bernard Flanagan. He died Thursday, July 30, 2015, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

He was a land surveyor and a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church, where he wasa Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.

Survivors include:
  • Wife: Kathy Ann Foley Flanagan, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two daughters: Bethanie Flanagan, and Mariam Leah Flanagan, both of Somerset, KY

  • One grandson: Ethan Wade Hunter

  • One nephew: Jonathan Judd
