Peggy Ann Tarter, 78, Casey County, KY (1936-2015) She and her unique general store, as much a museum as a retail outlet, will never be forgotten, particularly for those in Casey, Adair, and Russell Counties, and travellers along U.S. 127 who just happened in store filled with brands and items some spanning the over five decades she owned & operated Tarter's Grocery in Dunnville, KY for over 53 years. She was a native of Mercer County, KY, and had been a resident of Casey and Russell Counties for many years. She was the daughter of Earl A. & Alpha Foley and the widow of Ray Tarter. She owned & operated Tarter's Grocery in Dunnville, Ky for over 53 years In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Tarter and two sisters, Lucille & Earlene Foley.
