Helen Josephine Anderson Norris, Burkesville, KY (1933-2015)

She was a member of Burkesville Church of the Nazarene and attended Bear Creek Church. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Harrison Anderson and the late Sally Claywell Anderson. Her husband, Hylen Guy Norris, survives. She leaves 17 direct and three step living descendants.

Helen Josephine Anderson Norris age 82 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital after an illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery. Family requests visitation from 5pmCT until 9pmCT, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.

Helen was born on June 01, 1933 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Harrison Anderson and Sally Claywell Anderson. She died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 82 years, one month, and 20 days.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Wendell Norris, and eight siblings, Roy Anderson, Johnny Anderson, Willard Anderson, Mary Claywell, Clara Claywell, Lois Smith, Vicie Carter, Betty Carter. Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Hylen Guy Norris of Burkesville, KY

  • Three daughters: Brenda Marsh(Mike Vinson) of McMinnville, TN, Linda Spears(Darrell) of Burkesville, KY and Glenda Jean Willis(Jerry) of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: William Anderson(Mary Lee) of Burkesville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Chris "Woody" Scott(Carla Bush), Cindy Jo Nettles(Lawrence), Windy Spears, Christy Wilson(Donnie), Nicky Spears(Lora Beth), Michael Norris, Skylar Willis(Mary Gilbert)

  • Seven great grandchildren: Brooklyn Branham, Colby Nettles, Allie Bradley, Carly Jo Nettles, Alaina Wilson, Tenley Spears, Amelia Wilson

  • Three step great grandchildren: Dakota Vinson, TeKeila Vinson, Ronnie Dale "R.D." Vinson

  • Special family friend: Glenda Denton and a host of other relatives and friends.
