Naomi Oleda Curry, 86, Taylor Co., KY (1928-2014)

She professed faith in Christ and attended Campbellsville First Church of God. She was a retired teacher and librarian with the Campbellsville Independent School System. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident at the time of her death. Her marriage to Leon Hadley endured 20 years until his death in 1968. Her marriage of over 30 years, later, to Howard W. Curry, endured over 30 years. She leaves 18 direct living descendants.

Naomi Oleda Curry, 86, of Campbellsville, KY died at 11:02pmET, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY,by Bro. Evan Tedder. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY.



Naomi Oleda Curry, 86, Taylor Co., KY (1928-2014)

Naomi Oleda Curry was the daughter of the late Clifford Franklin McDaniel, Sr. and Bertha E. Chappel McDaniel. She was born September 6, 1928, in Taylor County, KY. She died Wednesday, June 8, 2015 in Campbellsville, KY, at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and two days.

She professed faith in Christ and attended Campbellsville First Church of God. She was a retired teacher and librarian with the Campbellsville Independent School System.

She united in marriage to Leon Hadley April 5, 1947. He preceded her in death August 12, 1968.

She united in marriage to Howard W. Curry in December 1978. He preceded her in death in March 2008.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and two daughters: Ronnie Hadley and wife, Janice of Campbellsville, KY; Gary Hadley and wife, Sue of Knifley, KY; Joanetta Hadley and Marilyn Martin and husband, Scott of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Melissa Shelton and husband, Greg, Jason Hadley and wife, Christee, Patrick Phillippe, Jaclyn Rakel, Kyle Martin and Emily Hadley

  • Seven great-grandchildren: Joshua Shelton, Karlee Rakel, Liliana Prokup, Micah Prokup, Tobias Hadley, Elias Hadley and Iris Hadley

  • One brother and one sister: Clifford McDaniel, Jr. and wife, Ernestine of Anderson, Indiana and Bonnie Perkins of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lois June Phillippe and five brothers and one sister: Charles McDaniel, Cecil McDaniel, Hank McDaniel, Wesley McDaniel, John McDaniel and Sylvetta Williams.
