He was the son of the late Henry and Tina Wisdom England. He was the widower of Thelma Moss England. He leaves 24 direct living descendants. He was a retired farmer and member of the Society Hill Baptist Church.

James Willis England age 81 of Glasgow, KY, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Society Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pmCT Wednesday, July 8, 2015, and after 9amCT, Thursday at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Henry and Tina Wisdom England. He was a retired farmer and member of the Society Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Karen (Tommy) Garmon of Edmonton, KY; Rita (Mike) Hughes of Glasgow, KY; and Lisa (James) Blankenship of Glasgow, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Lori Broaddus, James Reece, Joshua Smith, Jonathan (Stacey) Dillon, Cali Dillon, Andrew Nichols and Colleen Hughes

  • Twelve great grandchildren

  • and one great great grandchild
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Moss England; two sisters, Marie Estes and Virginia Wilson; and a son in law Barry Hughes.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
