Mrs. Maggie Froedge Davidson, 102, Cumberland County, KY (1912-2015)

She was a Homemaker, a Farmer, a Seamstress and a Poet. She was a native of the Spoon Branch Community of Marrowbone, KY, and a resident of Burkesville, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Balum and Daisy Hurt Froedge and the widow of Millard Wagner Davidson. She leaves 22 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Maggie Froedge Davidson, age 102, a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor, formerly of Marrowbone, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Bill Garmon officiating. Burial will be in the Marrowbone Cemetery in Marrowbone, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 2pmCT, on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, until the funeral hour on Thursday.



Mrs. Maggie Froedge Davidson, 102, Marrowbone, KY (1912-2015)

She was born in the Spoon Branch Community of Marrowbone, Cumberland County, Kentucky on Saturday, December 7, 1912, the daughter of Balum and Daisy Hurt Froedge. She died Sunday, June 28, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 102 years, six months, and 21 days.

She was a Homemaker, a Farmer, a Seamstress and a Poet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Wagner Davidson; her brothers, Earl Froedge, Andrew Froedge, and Paul Froedge; her sister, Clarice Froedge; her grandson, Kevin Graves; and her son-in-law, Duck Willis.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her daughters: Linda (and Pete) Graves of Marrowbone, Kentucky; Judy Willis of Burkesville, Kentucky; and Vivian Davidson of Tucson, Arizona

  • Five grandchildren: Teresa, Donna, Deborah, Tara and Sean

  • Twelve great-grandchildren

  • and two great-great-grandchildren
