Jamie Moon, age 32 years, of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 9:20amCT, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center Emergency Room, in Leitchfield, KY, following a swimming accident.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Withers, the officiating clergy. Interment in the Loy Cemetery at Fairplay, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Wednesday, July 1, 2015.



Pallbearers: Kurt Clark, Craig Clark, Christopher Clark, Ronnie Joe Holt, Kyle Loy and Ron Adair

He was born Friday, November 5, 1982 in Jonesboro, Craighead County, AR. He died Saturday, June 27, 2015, in Leitchfield, Grayson County, KY, at the age of 32 years, seven months, and 22 days.

He is survived by parents, Bobby Darrell & Dianne Mizell Loy, of Columbia, KY, and his biological mother, and his biological mother, Tonie Sue Mizell of Jonesboro, AR and the following:
  • One son: Garrett Wayne Moon of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Angela Moon, Trish Mizell both of Columbia, KY; and Tammy Davis of Montana

  • Special friend: Melissa Rains & her two children Conner Rains & Hailey Rains of Columbia, KY

  • Grandparents: Bobby Dean & Lila Loy of Fairplay, KY

  • Aunts: Kathy Smith of Jonesboro, AR and Cindy Loy Crider of Dawson Springs, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
He was a member of Living by Faith Church & worked at Spectrum Care Academy in Columbia, KY.

The family has requested monetary donations to Jamie's funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.
