J. B Shirley age 74 of Edmonton, KY, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Saturday at Penicks Chapel with burial in the Hubbard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pmCT, Friday, June 25, 2015, and after 9amCT, Saturday at ButlerFuneral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY.


He was the son of the late Clarence and Beatrice Dickson Shirley.

He was retired from Eaton Axle in Glasgow and a was a member of the Penicks Chapel United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Helen Shirley of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • A son: Danny Shirley of Edmonton, KY

  • Two daughters: Linda (David)Estes of Edmonton, KY; and Trina (Brian) McLemore of Columbus, Georgia

  • Five grandchildren: Jillian (Joe) Miller of Bowling Green, KY; Tyler Estes and Patrick Shirley both of Edmonton, KY; Jordan Shirley of Glasgow, KY; and Trey Shirley of Bowling Green, KY

  • One great grandchild: Bently Miller of Bowling Green, KY
