Mark W. Pyles, 66, Columbia, KY (1949-2015)

Mark was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was a retired pharmacist. He was a native of Adair County and was a member of one of Adair County's great families. He was the son of Rollin Pyles and the late Pina Rich Pyles. His wife, Christie Keltner Pyles, survives. He leaves three step living descendants.

"Mark" W. Pyles, 66, of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:26amCT, at his home.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 3pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Bro. Jimmie Dale Cox the officiating clergy. The family requests visitation after 12pm noon CT, on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen.



Mark W. Pyles, 66, Adair Co., KY

He was born January 30, 1949 in Columbia, KY the son of Rollin and Pina Rich Pyles of Adair County, KY. He died Thursday, June 11, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 66, four months, and 12 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • His father: Rollin Pyles of Campbellsville, KY

  • His wife: Christie Keltner Pyles of Columbia, KY

  • Step daughter: April Janes, and husband Micah, of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Jerry Pyles and wife Carmen of Columbia, KY; and Harry Pyles and wife Paula of Simpsonville, KY

  • One sister: Shelia Bryant and husband Larry Russell Bryant of Columbia, KY

  • Two step grandchildren: Makayla Janes & Janson and wife Kayla Janes

  • Several nieces and nephews and a host aunts and uncles
  • And other relatives and friends
  • Mark was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was a retired pharmacist.

    Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Bethany Baptist Church, Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY 42728. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, in charge of funeral arrangements.
