Arlis (JR) Richardson, 55, Casey Co., KY (1960-2015)

He was a carpenter by trade and an avid outdoorsman. He was born in Ohio, and was a resident of Casey County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Arilis Richardson and Flonnie Beasley Richardson. His wife of over 36 years, Rita Scott Richardson, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants.

Funeral services are 12pmCT/1pmET Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. David Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers are Randy Richardson, Ben Ramsey, Herbie Couch, Brian Buck, Tim Bass, Michael Richardson, William Roberts, and Cecil Pittman. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Scott and Gary Woodrum, Jr.


Arlis "JR" Richardson, County, KY (1960-2015)


Born Thursday, April 14, 1960 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Arlis Richardson and the late Flonnie Beasley Richardson. He died Saturday, June 6, 2015, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 55 years, one month, and 23 days.

He was a carpenter by trade, he was also an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include the following:
  • His wife: Rita Scott Richardson, whom he married November 3, 1978, and tahe following:
  • A son: Anthony Richardson of Cincinnati OH

  • Two daughters: Crystal (Ben) Ramsey of Stanford, KY; and Eva Richardson of Liberty, KY

  • Three grandsons: KJ, Ben and Christopher

  • A brother: Randy Richardson

  • Six sisters: Nancy Patton, Bernice Couch, Norma Bennett, Ruby Cox, Betty Buck, and Lisa Woodrum

  • And many cousins, nieces ,nephews, and dear friends
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kaden King; two sisters, Jewel Goff and Eva Roberts; and a brother, Carlos Eddie Richardson.
