Arthur Lee Wesley, Casey Co., KY (1926-2015)

He was a native of Argyle, KY, and a resident of Liberty, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Bail & Amy Mae Elliott Wesley, and the widower of Wilma Wesley. He leaves 17 direct living descendants. He was a retired truck driver, farmer and member of Valley Oak Baptist Church.

Arthur Lee Wesley, age 88, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the U.K. Markey Cancer Center, Lexington, KY. Visitation was held 5pmCT/6pmET till 8pmCT/9pmET, Thursday June 4, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY and after 11amCT/12pm noon ET, on Friday June 5, 2015 at Valley Oak Baptist Church. Funeral Services were held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Friday June 5, 2015 at Valley Oak Baptist Church. Bro. Troy Merrick and Bro. Bobby Clark officiated. Burial is in the Valley Oak Cemetery.

He was born in Argyle, Casey County, KY on Thursday, December 23, 1926 to the late Bail and Amy Mae Elliott Wesley. He died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 88 years, five months, and 10 days.

He was a retired truck driver, farmer and member of Valley Oak Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Kenny and (Debbie) Wesley of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter: Berdina Sue and (Fred) Shelton of Liberty, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Five great-grandchildren

  • Two Sisters: Edna Maddox of Hustonville, KY; and Mary Lou Carman of Liberty, KY
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his spouse, Wilma Wesley; One sister, Inez Hatter; and twin grandchildren.
