Shirley Long age 66 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Monday, June 01, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 04, 2015 at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Dutch Creek Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Wednesday, June 03, 2015 from 12pm noon until 9pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Shirley Long, 66, Cumberland County, KY (1948-2015)
Shirley was born on June 29, 1948 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Francis Spears Willis. She died Monday, June 1, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and three days.

She was a member of Dutch Creek Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, a former employee of Bob Evans and Sutton's Apparel, a homemaker, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Willis, and Richard Willis, Jr., and one sister, Ruby Willis. Survivors Include:
  • Her husband: Clyde (Moody) Long of Burkesville, KY
  • Two daughters: Kathy Burns(Pat), and Lisa Bean(Brian) all of Burkesville, KY
  • Two brothers: Gene Willis(Alice) and Floyd Willis(Juanita) all of Burkesville, KY
  • sisters-in-law: Betty Sue Long, and Bell Holland both of Burkesville, KY
  • Five grandchildren: Jacquitta Groce(David Graham), Nathan Burns(Cassie Burns), Ashley Burns(Steven Wyatt), Joshua Groce, Myaleiha Bean
  • Two step grandchildrenL Tiffany Burns Parker, Katie Rose Norris
  • Six great grandchildren: Audrey Groce, Nathaniel Burns, Savannah Burns, Caleb Groce, Cayson Burns, Kimberly Burns
  • Eight step great grandchildren: J.P., Keleigh, Hayden, Remmington, Annabelle, Abbie, Briar, Shelby
  • Special friends: Ronnie and Anita Pitcock, and Nancy Groce
  • And a host of other relatives and friends survive.
