Virginia Crump Goff, 90, Green Co., KY (1924-2015)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was also owner and operator of the former Curtains and Covers. She was the daughter of the late Claude Crump and Lizzie Hedgespeth Crump. She was the widow of Carl William Goff, her husbandof 58 years. She leaves nine direct living descendants.

Mrs. Virginia Crump Goff of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Monday, June 1, 2015 in Green County, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Crump Goff will be conducted at 10amCT, Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. C.W. Goff will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm-8pmCT,, Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Mike Goff, Correy Goff, Pat Dinning, Brett Marr, Scott Coffey, and Jordan Tucker.


Virginia Crump Goff, Green Co., KY (1924-2015)


Mrs. Virginia Crump Goff of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Claude Crump and Lizzie Hedgespeth Crump, was born on November 12, 1924 in Hart County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Monday, June 1, 2015 in Green County, Kentucky. She was 90 years, six months, and 20 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was also owner and operator of the former Curtains and Covers.

She united in marriage to Carl William Goff on February 23, 1941 who preceded her in death on May 11, 1999.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: C.W. and Sandi Goff of Greensburg, KY; and Mike and Robin Goff of Summersville, KY

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Marlis and Pat Dinning of Arizona

  • Four grandchildren: Correy and Tasha Goff, Ann-Michael and Jordan Tucker all of Summersville, KY; and Samantha Dinning, and Sara Dinning both of Arizona

  • Two great-grandchildren: Hayden Goff, and Caleb Thomas Tucker both of Summersville, KY

  • A sister: Dixie Brooks of Buffalo, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Morris and Mary Jean Goff of Greensburg, KY

  • Special friends: Brenda Hall, Sandy Caven both of Summersville, KY; and Ann Akin of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Goff was also preceded in death by five sisters and a brother: Magdalene Wright, Dorothy Bale Duffy, Edna Scott, Herschel Miller, Alviene Hines, and Marvin Crump.

Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
