He attended the Freedom Church of God and served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a member of a highly regarded Eastern Adair County, KY family. He was the son of Alvis L. Sullivan and the late Dorothy Grider Sullivan. He leaves seven direct and five step living descendants. He attended the Freedom Church of God and served his country in the U. S. Army.

Billy Sullivan age 65 years of the Oak Grove Community Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 3:05amCT, at his home. Funeral service Monday, May 25, 2015 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Scott Allen & Bro. Carlie Riggs officiating. Interment in Freedom Cemetery, 576 Freedom Church Road. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements Visitation will be after 9:30amCT, Monday, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: James Green, Roger Holmes, Gerald Huckaby , Donnie Burbridge, Herman Conover and Jerry Powell.

Honorary pallbearers: Reece Morgan, Steve Roy, Keith Coomer, Frank Radford, Gene Robertson and Stanley Carter.

He was born on Sunday, September 18, 1949 in Adair County. He was the son of Alvis L. Sullivan & the late Dorothy Grider Sullivan of Adair County, KY. He died Saturday, May 23, 2015, in Adair County, KY, at the age of 65 years, eight months, and five days.

Survivors include his Father Alvis Sullivan of Columbia, KY his wife Gloria Chilton Sullivan of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Michael Sullivan & his wife Tasha of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Billie Sullivan of Columbia, KY

  • Two step-children: Sabrina Waddell & her husband Chris of South Carolina; and Rebecca Baugh of Hustonville, KY

  • One brother: Bobby Sullivan & his wife Lee Ann of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Sharon Pike of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Three step-grandchildren

  • One great granddchild
Billy attended the Freedom Church of God and served his country in the U. S. Army.
