Joyce Alyne Pennington age 76 of Summer Shade passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Asbury-Center Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, April 30, 2015, and after 9amCT, Thursday at the funeral home.


She was the daughter of the late Oscar Lee and Viola Mae Trent Humphrey. She was a homemaker and member of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Roger London of Bowling Green, KY; and Randall London of Summer Shade, KY

  • Two daughters: Teresa Shaw of Smiths Grove, KY; and Vickie Caudill of Auburn, KY

  • Three step children: Timmy Pennington of Center, KY; Julian Pennington of Glasgow, KY; and Shannon Childress of Glasgow, KY

  • One brother: Wendell Humphrey of Center, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Chris Royse and Raegan London

  • Four step grandchildren: Tony Pennington, Megan Pennington, Natalie Simpson and Cody Pennington

  • Five step great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ray Morris Pennington and two brothers Jimmy and Dale Humphrey.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
