He was the son of the late Herman and Edna Somers. His wife, Carol Ann Spicer, survives. He leaves 18 direct living descendants. He was a retired mechanic and served in the United States Marines.

Robert Lee Spicer age 74, a native of Sugar Creek, Ohio, of Edmonton died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at his home.

Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.



He was the son of the late Herman and Edna Somers Spicer.

He was a retired mechanic and served in the United States Marines.

He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Spicer of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Robert L. Spicer Jr of Ohio, and Edward Allen Spicer of Louisville, KY

  • Two daughters: Renee Hathaway of Edmonton, KY; and Cindy Spicer of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two brothers: Tom and Bill Spicer both of Ohio

  • Seven grandchildren

  • And seven great grandchildren
