He was a painter and enjoyed fishing and hunting ginseng. He was a member of a large, respected Adair County, KY family. He was the son of the late4 Mitchell & Estelle Corbin Ford. His wife, Diane Phillips Ford, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants.

Donnie Ford, 61, of Columbia, KY, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 8:40amCT at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services will lbe Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be David Lawhorn, Ed Dial, Michael Burton, Buck Taylor, Rodney Ford, Jordan Ford and Jonathan Ford.

He was born November 19, 1953, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Mitchell & Estelle Corbin Ford. He died Sunday, April 19, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 61 years, five months. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Billy Ford, and a sister, Mary Helm.

He was a painter and enjoyed fishing and hunting ginseng. Survivors Include:
  • His wife: Diane Phillips Ford of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Jeff Ford of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Tiffany (Justin) Antle of Jamestown, KY

  • Three brothers: James, Ronald & Gary Ford, all of Columbia, KY

  • Seven sisters: Linda Hutchison, Janet Foster, Betty Greer, Lorena Smith, Sheila White, Darlene Lawhorn and Teresa Burton, all of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Jordan, Whitney, Jonathan and Brianna Ford

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • and other relatives and friends
