Birchel "Bill" Baker, 89, of Jamestown, KY died Friday, March 20, 2015 in Lake Placid, Florida.

Funeral service for Birchel "Bill" Baker will be at 7pmCT, Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Steve Wheeler officiating. Visitation after 6pmCT, Thursday. Burial in the Baker Cemetery in Perry County.



Birchel (Bill) Baker, 89, Russell Co., KY (1926-2015

He was born Monday, January 25, 1926 in Perry County, KY. He was the son of the late Farmer & Martha Baker. He died Friday, March 20, 2015, in Lake Placid, Highlands County, Florida, at the age of 89 years, one month and 23 days.

He was a Veteran of US Army and US Navy.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Penny Baker, Jamestown, KY

  • Three children: Karen Baker, Lake Placid, Florida; Kenny Baker, Edgewood, Washington; and Gary Baker, Pittsfield, MA

  • Seven grandchildren: Zachary Small, Hillary Small, Casey Baker, Landon Baker, Tyler Baker, Austin Baker, and MacKenzie Baker

  • Two great grandchildren: Zadia Small and Daxton Small

  • Two sisters: Polly Hall and Jean Wilson

  • Three brothers: James, E.C. and Sam Baker
