Ralph Edward Carlton, 86, Russell County, KY (1929-2015)

He was a native of South Bend, IN, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Gren Jacob and Grace Marie Toner Carlton. His wife, Cahterine Edmonds Carlton, survives. He was a membere of the Russell Springs Baptist Church. He was a lineman for the electric company.

Ralph Edward Carlton, 86, of Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home.

Funeral service for Ralph Edward Carlton will be at 10amCT, Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Thursday. Burial in the Hugh Frank Cemetery



Ralph Edward Carlton, 86, Russell County, KY (1929-2015)


He was born February 14, 1929 in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. He was the son of the late Glen Jacob & Grace Marie Toner Carlton. He died Sunday, March 22, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years, one month, and eight days.

He was a lineman for electric company and was a member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Roy Carlton and a step son, David Hopper.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Edmonds Carlton, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Three children: Bruce (Kim) Carlton, Austin, Texas; Larry (Deena) Carlton, Arlington, Washington; and Glenda (Deac) Forry, Renton, Washington

  • Three step children: Ken Hopper, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Roger (Wilhelmina), Hopper, Florida; and Bob Hopper, Alexandria, Indiana
  • Sister: Armeda McDonald, South Bend, Indiana

  • Host of grandchildren

  • Twelve great grandsons

  • His dog: Gunner, a yellow lab
