Sandra Norris, 72, Cumberland Co., KY (1943-2015)


Sandy was born on January 12, 1943 in Hart County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Damon and Edna Francis Forbis Thompson. She died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in Marrowbone, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 26 days.

She was a former employee of Suttons Apparel and Alpine Resort.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Rondel Scott, two brothers, Rolland David Thompson, and Ronnie Thompson, and one sister, Suzetta Judd.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Roy Clifton Norris of Marrowbone, KY

  • One daughter: Andreia Decker of Park City, KY

  • Two step children: Sandy (and Roger) McKinney of Breeding, KY and Sherry Spoon of Columbia, KY

  • Ten Sisters: Cherryl (and Roger)Goodman of Munfordville, KY, Beverly Upton of Elizabethtown, KY, Betty Jean (and Leon) Jaggers of Horse Cave, KY, Angie (and Jim) Passmore of Kissimmee, FL, Yvonnda (and Mike) Witherspoon of Murfreesboro, TN, Hope (and Jimmy) Carey of Cave City, KY, Mitzi (and Dale) Judd of Horse Cave, KY, Cynthia (and Joey) Chaney of Horse Cave, KY, Tara (and Jim) White of Bardstown, KY, Stephanie (and Tom) Mahoney of Cave City, KY

  • Two Brothers: Sammy (and Marilyn) Thompson of Pierce, KY and Terry (and Regina) Thompson of Cave City, KY

  • Special Friend: Robin Lassy

  • Four grandchildren: Ashley Decker, Matthew Decker, Travis Decker, and Alex Scott.
