Anita M. Fletcher, Casey County, KY (1940-2015)

She was a retired quality supervisor at Oshkosh. Anita was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and attended the Creston Baptist Church. She loved hummingbirds, gardening and cooking for her family. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Herman Freddie and Myrtie Elsie Brown Murphy. Her husband, Hugh Fletcher, survives. She leaves two direct and six step living descendants.

Anita M. Fletcher passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. She was 75.

Funeral services are 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Creston Baptist Church, 8641 KY 70, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jeric DeVore and Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, February 23, 2015, 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, at the Creston Baptist Church.

Born Thursday, February 15, 1940 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Herman Freddie and Myrtie Elsie Brown Murphy. She died Friday, February 20, 2015, at the age of 75 years, five days.

She was a retired quality supervisor at Oshkosh. Anita was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and attended the Creston Baptist Church. She loved hummingbirds, gardening and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Hugh Fletcher of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • Daughter: Marla (Max) Anderson of Lancaster, KY

  • A grandson: Tyler Anderson

  • Two step-granddaughters: Kelly (and Blair) Trask and Jaime (and Gabe) Wright

  • Four step- great-grandchildren: Will, Lucy, Claire, and Hazel

  • Three brothers: James Shearl (and Martha) Murphy of Liberty, KY; Marion (and Bernita) Murphy of Liberty, KY; and Howard (and Ruth) Murphy of Versailles, KY

  • A sister: Delorus Campbell of Lebanon, Ohio
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Bearl Murphy; and two sisters, Lorene Noel and Ethel Louise Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be given to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 355 Lexington Avenue, 15 th Floor, New York, New York 10017 in memory of Anita M. Fletcher.
