Mrs. Frances Marie McCubbins, 83, of Summersville, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, February 6, 2015 at her home.

The funeral services for Mrs. Frances Marie McCubbins will be conducted at 10amCT, Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, with burial to follow in the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery. Bro. Robert Knight and Bro. Greg Whitlow will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3:30pm-8pmCT, Sunday, February 8, 2015, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT, Monday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Ronnie Marr, Kirby Pruitt, David Patterson, Eddie Bailey, Chris Pickett, Matt Goodin, and Eddie Young

Frances Marie McCubbins, Green Co., KY (1931-2015)

Mrs. Frances Marie McCubbins of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Homer Milby and Lillie Marr Milby, was born on June 18, 1931 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Friday, February 6, 2015 at her home. She was 83 years, seven months, and 18 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Emery McCubbins who preceded in death on January 22, 1994.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Vonda and Jerry Skaggs, and Sharon Curry all of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Jason Curry, Nicholas Curry and his fiance' Sarah Clark all of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Ray and Betty Milby of Greensburg, KY

  • Three sisters and a brother-in-law: Fay and Garnett Bishop, Irene Marr all of Greensburg, KY; and Maxine Marr of Louisville, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. McCubbins was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Willard Joe Curry on September 22, 2012.

Memorials are suggested to the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
