Lucy Myrtle Wilson, Russell Co., KY (1924-2015)

She was a factory worker and a member of Church of God. She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Lilbert & Sarah Gadberry Gaskins and the widow of Dalis "Tussey" Wilson.

Lucy Myrtle Wilson, 90, of Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at her home.

Funeral service for Lucy Myrtle Wilson will be 2pmCT, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Asa Wooten officiating. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Special Music by Upward Trio.



Pallbearers: Chris Wilson, Dewayne Wilson, Moe Glover, Tim Glover, Charles Ping, and Derrick Ping.

Lucy Myrtle Wilson, Russell Co., KY (1924-2015)

She born August 6, 1924 in Russell County, KY, to the late Lilbert & Sarah Gadberry Gaskins. She died Thursday, February 5, 2015, in Russell Springs, KY, at the age of 90 years, five months, and 30 days.

She was a factory worker and a member of Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dalis "Tusey" Wilson and two sons, Glen Dale Wilson, Ronnie "Bubby" Wilson.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Linda (Larry) Glover, Russell Springs, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Morris Glover, Tim Glover, Debbie Ping, Jessica Wilson, Dwayne Wilson, and Chris Wilson

  • Seven great grandchildren: Charles Ping, Derrick Ping, Justin Wilson, Brittany Wilson, Haydon Lee Wilson, Cheyenne Glover, and Jacob Glover

  • Two step great great grandchildren: Shelby and Bethany Willis

  • Two sisters: Eva Rae Russell, Russell Springs, KY and Vonnie Shepherd, Bloomington, IN

  • Two brothers: Edvert (Margaret) Gaskins, Russell Springs, KY; and Oscar (Virginia) Gaskins, Campbellsville, KY

  • Daughter-in-law: Wanda Wilson, Russell Springs, KY
The family requests memorials be made to the Russell Springs City Cemetery. These can be made at the funeral home.
