Louise Botts, 88, Hiseville, KY (d. 26 Jan 2015)

She was the matriarch of a highly regarded family. She was the daughter of the late Haskel and Ethel Mae Groce Coulter. She was a former employee of T.J. Samson Community Hospital and a member of the New Salem Methodist Church. She was the widow of Lawrence Botts. She leaves 22 direct living descendants.

Louise Botts age 88 of Hiseville passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Friday, January 30, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, from Thursday, January 29, 2015 and after 9amCT, Friday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Haskel and Ethel Mae Groce Coulter. She was a former employee of T.J. Samson Community Hospital and a member of the New Salem Methodist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three children; Richard (Linda) Botts of Hiseville, KY; Beverly Botts of Louisville, KY; and Judy (Donnie) Butler of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Reed Coulter of Louisville , KY; and a sister Jean McCombs of Louisville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Sheila Botts, Jamie (Ricky) Hines, Charlie (Amy) Botts, Ellen (Chip) Barton, Mitch Butler, Sherry Botts and Hannah Botts.

  • Twelve great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Botts; two brothers, Jack and Junior Coulter and a sister Margaret Botts.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Salem Cemetery in care of; Botts Walker, 1633 New Salem Rd. Glasgow, Kentucky 42141.
