Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Until 4amCT Saturday The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a winter weather advisory for sleet and snow, which is in effect until 4amCT on Saturday. Timing: Snow is occurring along a line from Morgantown to Elizabethtown to Danville in Kentucky at this time. Additional bands of snow are possible through the evening hours, with snow tapering off from west to east through the overnight hours. Main impact: A brief period of slick roads will occur with this first band, before the warm ground temperatures recover. Additional snows through the evening hours will allow for more slick spots. Accumulation is still expected to be around an inch in most locations. Precautionary/preparedness actions: Expect slick spots on some roads and bridges, and use extra caution if traveling.
