Mr. Tyler Murphy, 21, Green County, KY (1993-2015. He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of Green County, KY at the time of his death. His wife, Christen Jones Murphy, survives. He leaves two direct living descendants: a son Honor Blake Dewayne Murphy, and a daughter, November Rayne LaDon Murphy. He will be laid to rest in Liberty Cemetery in Green County. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church.

Mr. Steven Tyler Dewayne Murphy, age 21 of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Tyler Murphy will be conducted at 2pmCT, Sunday, January 25, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Green County, KY. Bro. Todd Davis and Bro. Ashley Shuffett will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 5pm until 9pmCT, Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Sunday until time of the funeral service.

Mr. Steven Tyler Dewayne Murphy of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of Steven Bowles of Greensburg, KY and Wendy Murphy of Greensburg, was born on Friday, November 5, 1993 in Taylor County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. He was 21 years, two months, and 16 days of age.

He is survived by his wife: Christen Jones Murphy of Greensburg, KY, and the following:
  • A son and daughter: Honor Blake Dewayne Murphy, and November Rayne LaDon Murphy

  • His father: Steven Bowles of Greensburg, KY

  • His mother: Wendy Murphy of Greensburg, KY

  • A special father: Scott Lockard of Greensburg, KY

  • Maternal grandparents: Donald & Elizabeth Murphy of Greensburg

  • Four sisters: Mary Proctor of Danville, Alijah Lockard, Brooke Bowles and Destiny Bowles all of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers: Aiden Bowles of Franklin, and Chase Young of Greensburg, KY

  • Sisters-in-law: Caylee Branstetter of Texas, and Caleby Jones of South Carolina

  • Aunts and Uncles: Terry Murphy of Greensburg, KY; Gary & Denise Murphy of Summersville, KY; Ashley & Andi Shuffett, and Luke & Kristy Shuffett all of Greensburg, KY
  • Grandparents-in-law: Donald Dean and Bonnie Shuffett, and Janie Moore all of Greensburg, KY

  • A great-aunt & great-uncle: Jerry and Carol Ray of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Tyler was also preceded in death by a uncle: Ricky Bowles, and his mother-in-law: Shannon Shuffett Edwards.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to his children, Honor & November Murphy's scholarship funds, which can be made at the funeral home.
