Daniel Wayne Stephens, 30, Metcalfe Co., KY (1984-2015) He was a native of Fayette County, KY, and a resident of Metcalfe County at the time of his death. He was a 2002 graduate of Bourbon County High School and 2006 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, where he played baseball. He was a member of the Kentucky State Police for the last eight years. His wife, Kelly Harper Stephens, survives. He leaves two direct living descendants, Danica Brook and Kinley Danielle Stephens. Daniel Wayne Stephens, age 30, of Edmonton, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, in Edmonton. Funeral services will be held 12:00pmET Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Home, 463 E. Main St. Lexington, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT Monday at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY and from 5pmET until 8pmET Tuesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will be in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Born in Lexington, Kentucky he is the son of Dwayne and Beverly Stephens of Paris, Kentucky, who survive. In 2002 Daniel graduated from Bourbon County High School and in 2006 graduated from Lindsey Wilson College with a degree in communication. While at Lindsey Wilson he played baseball for four years as a Lindsey Wilson Raider. Daniel then became a Kentucky State Trooper which he has been for the last eight years.
