Becky Gilbert, 71, Cumberland Co., KY (1943-2014)

She was a native of Baltimore, MD. She was a graduate of Dundalk High School in Baltimore. She married John Joseph "Jack" Gilbert on August 5, 1961 at Piney Grove United Methodist Church in Baltimore. Becky was the owner of Becky Gilbert Painting Company in Burkesville, KY, for for 31 years. Her husband, John J. Gilbert, survives. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Becky Gilbert age 71 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11amCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Gilbert Family Cemetery. The family requests visitation after 4pmCT, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 until the funeral hour on Thursday.



Pallbearers: Rick Luellen, Jamie Guy, Mitch Booher, Jessie Grider, Jr., Billy Taylor, and Shannon Watkins.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jessie Grider, Sr., Joe David Brown, Lindsey Bell, Earl Smith, Bo Campbell, David Morgan.

She was born on February 26, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the daughter of Paul Herman and Elizabeth Ogier Herman. She died Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY at the age of 71 years, nine months, and 18 days.

She was a graduate of Dundalk High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She married John Joseph "Jack" Gilbert on August 5, 1961 at Piney Grove United Methodist Church in Baltimore. Becky was the owner of Becky Gilbert Painting Company in Burkesville, KY, for for 31 years. She is survived by her husband, John J. Gilbert of Burkesville, KY, and the following:
  • Son and daughter-in-law: John and Wanda Gilbert of Burkesville, KY

  • Daughter and son-in-law: Cynthia and Darris Robertson of Burkesville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Ricky and Jennifer Gilbert of Casper, WY; and Dylan Gilbert and Draigen Thompson of Burkesville, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Josh Gilbert and Paige Gilbert both of Casper, WY

  • Sister: Paulette Shaduk of Baltimore, Maryland

  • Brother: Louis Herman of Celina, TN

  • Along with a host of close friends
