Charles E. Hudson, Adair County, KY (1931-2014)

He was a member of Plum Point Baptist Church and a retired bank examiner for the State of KY Department of Financial Institutions. He was a native of Rocky Hill, KY and will be laid to rest in Rocky Hill Cemetery. His wife, Opal M. Montfort Hudson, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Charles E. Hudson age 83 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday December 6, 2014 at 6:26 AM at his home after illness.

Funeral service will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev Lewis Haynes the officiating clergy. Interment in Rocky Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Sunday, December 7, 2014, at the funeral home.



Charles E. Hudson, Adair County, KY (1931-2014)


He was born September 20, 1931, in Rocky Hill, KY. He was the son of the late Charlie & Bessie Mabel Madison Hudson. He died Saturday, December 6, 2014, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 83 years, two months, and 16 days.

He is survived by his wife Opal M. Montfort Hudson of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • Two daughters: Martha Hudson of Columbia, KY; and Ruth Ann (Karl) Mangrum of Tompkinsville, KY.

  • Two sons: Jim (Peggy) Hudson of Bowling Green, KY; and Gary Hudson of Nashville, TN

  • Three grandchildren: Rebekah Hudson, Laura Hudson Smith, Sarah Hudson Hines

  • Six great grandchildren: Hudson Smith, Kris Back, Abby Back, Nick Back, Hailee Back and Amarie Hines

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host other relatives and friends
Charles was a member of Plum Point Baptist Church and a retired bank examiner for the State of KY Department of Financial Institutions

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Parkinson Disease or Plum Point Baptist Church and may be made at the funeral home.
