Colby Jade Thompson, age 20, of Greensburg died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Green County, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial in the Taylors Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pmCT, Friday, November 28, 2014, at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

He was born Thursday, November 17, 1994. He died Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 20 years, eight days.

Colby was a 2013 graduate of Green County High School and worked at Amazon in Campbellsville. He enjoyed cars, computers and video games.

He is survived by the following:
  • His mother: Pennie Akin and her husband, Tom, of Greensburg, KY

  • His father: Chris Karnes, of Columbia, KY

  • A brother: Brett Huff

  • Five sisters: Sydney Akin, Sarah Akin, Sienna Akin, Skylar Akin and Symphany Akin, all of Greensburg, KY

  • A step-sister: Shauna Akin of Columbia, KY

  • His grandmother: Linda Thompson, of Greensburg, KY

  • His grandfather: Rollie Thompson, of Mt. Sherman, KY

  • His step-grandparents: Glen and Ramona Akin, of Columbia, KY

  • And several other relatives and friends.

  • His grandparents: Donna and Due Karnes preceded him in death.
