Voicel Taylor, Casey County, KY (1923-2014)

She was a merchant and a member of the Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Voicel was a caring lady who enjoyed taking care of others. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Dexter and Hattie Vanoy Hamm. She was the widow of Charles E. Taylor. She leaves 19 direct living descendants.

Voicel Taylor of Casey County, KY passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital. She was 91.

Funeral services are 10amCT/11amET, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday, November 28, 2014 at the funeral home.



Voicel Taylor, Casey County, KY (1923-2014)

Born Wednesday, May 29, 1923 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Dexter and Hattie Vanoy Hamm. She died Monday, November 24, 2014, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 91 years, five months, and 26 days.

She was a merchant and a member of the Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Voicel was a caring lady who enjoyed taking care of others.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Taylor, who died July 22, 2012; a brother, Darrell Hamm; and two sisters, Edna Lawhorn and Blanche Hamm.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Larry (and Patti) Taylor of Oxford, Ohio; and Danny (and Joan) Taylor of West Harrison, Indiana>

  • A daughter: Brenda (and Ray) Prock of Mt. Healthy, Ohio

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Nine great-grandchildren

  • A sister, Imogene Helm of Elmwood, Ohio
