Billy Houston Bradshaw, Adair Co., KY (1930-2014)

He was a highly regarded citizen of Columbia, KY and a respected businessman Mr. Bradshaw was a member of Columbia Christian Church and was the owner of Bradshaw Shoe Store in Columbia for many years. He was a native of the Cane Valley Community of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of hte late Arthur and Nellie Mae Coomer Bradshaw. He leaves 21 direct living descendants. He will be laid to rest in Adair County, KY.

Billy Houston Bradshaw, 84 of Campbellsville, KY formerly of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:47 a.m. at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 24, 2014 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry White the officiating clergy. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visiting after 3:30pmCT, on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Billy Houston Bradshaw, Adair Co., KY (1930-2014)

He was born Tuesday, August 12, 1930 in the Cane Valley community of Adair Co. KY. He was the son of the late Arthur and Nellie Mae Coomer Bradshaw. He died Monday, November 17, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, aat the age of 84 years, three months, and five days.

Mr. Bradshaw was a member of Columbia Christian Church and was the owner of Bradshaw Shoe Store in Columbia for many years.

Preceded in death by one brother: Tommy Bradshaw and one grandson: Gerald Newton Survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Beverly Pike and husband Paul of Campbellsville, KY; and. Patty Durrett and husband Bobby of Greensburg, KY.

  • Four grandchildren: Chris Newton, Kevin Shirrell, Julie Thornton, and Jason Shirrell

  • Fourteen great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild

  • One sister in law: Betty Bradshaw of Columbia, KY

  • One nephew: Tommy Wayne Bradshaw of Columbia, KY
