Frances (Fran) Patterson Hodge, Barren Co., KY |1941-2014|

Frances (Fran) Mae Patterson Hodge, age 72, of Glasgow, KY died November 16, 2014, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 1pmCT at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with burial to follow in the White Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will begin Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2pmCT at the funeral home and Tuesday after 7amCT, until time of services.

Born September 28, 1941 in Metropolis, Massac County, IL, she was the daughter of the late Dollie Tapley and Claude (Pat) Patterson. She died Sunday, November 16, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 19 days.

She was the wife of Ray Hodge, who survives. They were married for 53 years.

She was a housewife and of the Protestant faith.

Survivors in addition to her husband, include the following:
  • One daughter: Sherry Anderson, Glasgow, KY

  • One granddaughter: Lastachia Houchens

  • Three great grandchildren

  • One brother: Chuck Patterson, Paducah, KY

  • One half-brother: Gene Enman, Metropolis, IL
Memorials are suggested to the DAV chapter 20 and can be left at the funeral home.
