He was a native of Boyle County, KY, and a resident of Casey County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Willie Clyde and Marie McBeath Bowmer. He mowed yards and loved to fish. Freddie was of the Baptist faith.

Freddie Bowmer, of Liberty, KY passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY. He was 64.

Funeral services are at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial is in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Monday, November 17, 2014, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers are Carl McAninch, Timothy Smith, Adam Smith, Chad Smith, Justin Bowmer and Aaron Bowmer.

Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Nuckols, Clifton Hale, Billy Sallee, Bobby Maupin, Tim Smith, Jim Hargis, Gary and Judy Garner, J.L. Coe, and Jantzen Hale.

Born September 15, 1950 in Danville, Boyle County, KY. He was the son of the late Willie Clyde and Marie McBeath Bowmer. He died Sunday, November 16, 2014, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 64 years, 2 months, and one day.

He mowed yards and loved to fish. Freddie was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include the following:
  • A brother, Larry (and Rosina) Bowmer of Liberty, KY

  • Four sisters: Marcella (and Bobby) Maupin of Liberty, KY; Alice Faye (and Tim) Smith of Lexington, KY; Margaret (and Clifton) Hale of Liberty, KY; and Ann Land of Louisville, KY

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
