She was a former employee of Hendricks Creek Resort, OshKosh, and Clay Sportswear. She was a native of Monroe County, KY, and a resident of Cumberland County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Elmer T. Scott and Nellie Christing Poindexter Scott. Her husband, Eddie Cecil Key, survives. She leaves two direct living descendants.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Donald Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery. The family requests visitation after 11amCT, Monday, November 17, 2014 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.

Lorinda was born on Saturday, March 21, 1959 in Monroe County, Kentucky to the late Elmer T. Scott and Nellie Christine Poindexter Scott. She died Saturday, November 18, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 55 years, seven months, and 27 days.

She was a former employee of Hendricks Creek Resort, OshKosh, and Clay Sportswear.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Five Sisters, Wendy Blakley, Sheila Blakley, Sharon Layne Carter, Janine Scott, and Pamela Scott. Survivors include the following:
  • Her husband: Eddie Cecil Key of Burkesville, KY

  • One son: John Key and his wife Courtney of Burkesville, KY

  • One grandson: Kade Russell Key of Burkesville, KY

  • Two sisters: Wanda Daniels and her husband Lonnie Paul of Celina, TN and Tincy Scott of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: Ricky T. Scott of Burkesville, KY and a host of other relatives and friends
