Teresa Gay Richardson, Casey County, KY |1959-2014|

She was a member and recording secretary for the Bruce's Chapel United Methodist Church. Gay had an Associate's Degree from EKU in Medical Coding. She was a former employee of the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and also of OshKosh. Nana, as she was known by her grandchildren, loved being with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed clogging. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Sandra McFarland Richardson. Her husband, Bro. Creech Richardson, survives. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Teresa Gay Richardson, age 55, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday, November 17, 2014, at Bruce's Chapel United Methodist Church with her husband, Bro. Creech Richardson and Bro. Wayne Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Bruce's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Sunday, November 16, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, and after 10amCT/11amET, on Monday at the Church.



Mike, Mark, Michael Eric, Josh, Gary, and Benny Richardson will serve as pallbearers.

Born Friday, January 2, 1959, in Liberty, Casey County, KY. She was a daughter of the late Lewis and Margaret Sandra McFarland Richardson. She died Friday, November 14, 2014, at her residence, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 55 years, 10 months, and 12 days.

She was a member and recording secretary for the Bruce's Chapel United Methodist Church. Gay had an Associate's Degree from EKU in Medical Coding. She was a former employee of the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and also of OshKosh. Nana, as she was known by her grandchildren, loved being with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed clogging.

Survivors include her husband, whom she wed on July 2, 1977, Bro. Creech Richardson of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • A son: Matthew C. (Kari) Richardson of Windsor, KY

  • A daughter: Margaret (Matthew) Trowbridge of Science Hill, KY

  • Brothers: Michael Lewis Richardson and Mark Stephen Richardson, both of Liberty, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Jake, Brody, and Hailey May.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bruce's Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o Norma Vest, 1818 Dry Ridge Road, Liberty, KY 42539.
