Donald Roy Hale, Casey County, KY (1941-2014)

He was an Army veteran, a farmer and logger. Don attended the Hwy 49 Holiness Church. He loved to fish and work in the garden. Don loved his dog, Max. He was born in Casey County, KY and was a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Arnold Roy and Marie Miller Hale and the widower of Brenda Sue Whited Hale. He leaves nine direct living descendants.

Donald Roy Hale passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home in Casey County, KY. He was 73.

Funeral services are 1pmCT/2pmET. Sunday November 16, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Shirley Denson, Bro. Phillip Smallwood, and Bro. Rocky Kirk officiating. Mr. Donald Hale will be laid to rest in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, November 15, 2014, 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, at the funeral home.



Donald Roy Hale, Casey County, KY (1941-2014)

Born Saturday, July 26, 1941 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Arnold Roy and Marie Miller Hale. He died Friday, November 14, 2014, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 73 years, three months, and 19 days.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loved wife, Brenda Sue Whited Hale, who died in 1994; a brother, Marlyn Hale, and a grandson.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Mike (and Tammy) Hale of Moreland, KY

  • Two daughters: Pam (and Gary) Nichols of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Melissa (and Tony) Richards of Casey County, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • And two sisters: Avenelle Irvin of Russell Springs, KY; and Anna Faye Fair of Lexington, KY.
