Mrs. Glenna Lee Acree, Metcalfe Co. KY native (1934-2014)

She was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, and a resident of Green County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Glen and Tara Henderson Stotts, and the widow of William Acree. She leaves four direct living descendants. She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. She retired from the Green County School System, where she worked as a Food Service Director.

Mrs. Glenna Lee Acree, 88, departed this life Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, KY.

Funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Monday, November 10, 2014, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Sunday, November 9, 2014, and after 7amCT, Monday, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. The minister will be Rev. Gary Daughtery. Interment will be in Asbury Center Cemetery in the Center Community of Metcalfe County, KY.



Pallbearers: Jeff Davis, Troy Davis, Korey Davis, Brandon Davis, Mike Scott, and Gary Scott.

Mrs. Glenna Lee Acree was born Monday, October 29, 1934 in Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Glen and Tara Henderson Stotts. She died Friday, November 7, 2014, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of eighty years and eight days.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death December 25, 2005 by her husband William Acree.

She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. She retired from the Green County School System, where she worked as a Food Service Director.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and two daughters-in-law: Lester and Denise Acree of Campbellsville, KY; and Tim and Tina Acree of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister: Rebecca Davis of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Jeremy and Jennifer

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
