The Blue Raiders opened fast in the first set scoring 10 of the first 12 points. St. Catharine (28-10, 10-4 MSC) then went on a 5-1 run, but two kills by Ramirez gave the Blue Raiders a 13-9 lead. The Patriots scored eight of the next 11 points grabbing a 17-16 lead over the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson then tied the score twice at 17-17 and 18-18 before St. Catharine scored three straight points giving the Patriots a 21-18 lead. With the Blue Raiders down two and facing set point at 24-22, Ramirez tallied two kills to tie the match at 24. The match again became tied at 25, but another kill by Ramirez and a huge block after a long rally by Nadelina Nesheva and Sarah Shilling gave the first set to the Blue Raiders 27-25. Lindsey Wilson once again sprinted out to an early lead in the second set leading 11-3. The Blue Raiders then went on a 9-7 run, including five kills from Ramirez and two kills by Nesheva to bring the score to 20-10. With Lindsey Wilson leading 24-15, Shilling closed out the set with a kill to give the Blue Raiders a 25-15 second set win. In the third set, Lindsey Wilson fell behind by six at 13-7. The Patriots continued to build their lead, taking a 21-15 advantage. The Blue Raiders would rally with kills from Ramirez, Nesheva and Daryna Liutikova to climb all the way back and tie the match at 24 all.
