By Sue Bailey

Thanks Murrell for the photo of Bear Wallow Church & Cemetery.

I believe, however, that when you check your records, you will find that this building was completed in 1951 and is the same building as today, 2014, & the brick was added a few years later, after the white siding needed upgraded. (The cutline has been corrected. - CM)

I base my information on the fact that my 4 year old sisters funeral was the first or second conducted in the new Church Building in Aug. 1951 and that is where I have attended Services most of my life.

The Church Building of the 1940's and before was in the far right corner of the current parking lot in front of today's Church Building.

The one before that ,I have been told began as Bear Wallow School / Church and was located at the back right corner of the current Church.

Anyone who doesn't have a Home Church, which he/she attends regularly, is invited to attend Bear Wallow UMC.

I would also at this time, THANK everyone who supported the recent Fall Festival Fund Raiser, November 1, 2014.

Again, THANKS Murrell & Ed for printing the picture & information.

- Sue Bailey
