LWC Volleyball hosts St. Catharine, Senior Night, tonight at 6pmCT Match represents the 2014 regular-season finale for Blue Raider volleyball. By Matthew Stokes News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 9 Lindsey Wilson volleyball team hosts St. Catharine (KY) at 6pmCT on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Prior to the first serve, Lindsey Wilson will acknowledge the following varsity student-athletes: Sarah Anderson, Maeghan Angel, Brianna Bartlett, Kirsten King, Daryna Liutikova, Nadelina Nesheva and Sarah Shilling. Four junior varsity seniors will also be honored, including Tyla Bailey, Mercedes Hudson, Katie Koper and Morgan Mesecher. Only several days ago, the Blue Raiders (29-2, 13-0 Mid-South Conference) locked down their second-consecutive MSC regular-season title on Monday, November 3, via a 3-0 victory at Cumberlands (KY). Lindsey Wilson as a team has an overall hitting percentage of .293, the fourth-highest in the NAIA, while limiting its' opponents to a combined .109 this fall. Anderson, Liutikova, Nesheva and Shilling have combined for 844 of the Blue Raiders' 1,352 total kills this season. Angel and King have totaled 221 digs, while Bartlett is second on the team with 151 assists. With the top seed in the MSC Tournament roughly two weeks from now secure, the Blue Raiders host the Patriots tonight. In its most-recent match, St. Catharine (28-9, 10-3 MSC) was victorious in straight sets at Cumberland (TN) on Tuesday, November 4. In 132 sets played this fall, the Patriots as a team pace the MSC in total digs (2,800) and total blocks (279.5). Jordan Strickland has a conference-best 1,313 assists total this season, while Rebecca Just leads the MSC with 430 total kills. St. Catharine has received votes in all nine 2014 regular-season national top-25 polls, including a dozen votes in the Nov. 4 edition of the rankings.
