LWC Women's Golf finishes 4th at Columbia College Fall Invite Cristina Jimenez and Megan Kriz are among top-11 finishers in 40-person field By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College BLYTHEWOOD, SC - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team shot a two-day total 692 (350-342) to finish in fourth place at the Columbia College Fall Invite on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The Blue Raiders shaved eight strokes off their opening-round 350 to finish 44 strokes behind winner South Carolina-Beaufort at the seven-team tournament. Cristina Jimenez was the top finisher for Lindsey Wilson with a 166 (82-84). The junior from Murcia, Spain, finished in a tie for eighth place at the Columbia Country Club/Ridgewood/Lakeside Course. Megan Kriz shot a 169 (85-84) to finish alone in 11th place. Her second-round 84 matches her second-lowest score of the fall season. Kayla Cordeiro improved one spot in the final standings from yesterday's leaderboard. She shot a 178 (90-88) to finish in 21st place. Amy Brown made the largest positive move on the tournament leaderboard on day two, moving up seven spots from her day-one finish. Brown finished with a 179 (93-86) in a tie for 22nd place at the par-72, 5,981-yard course. Shayna Cockrill also climbed in the standings, moving up five spots to finish 26th after her two-day 183 (94-89). After South Carolina-Beaufort's 648 (326-322), St. Andrews (NC) took second at the tournament with a 675 (338-337). Tennessee Wesleyan finished third with a 676 (340-336), just 16 strokes ahead of the Blue Raiders. St. Andrews' Laura Kinsman led wire-to-wire to finish atop the individual leaderboard.
