LWC Volleyball travels to Cumberlands tonight: Mon 3 Nov 2014

Lindsey Wilson has won the last seven matches against Cumberlands dating back to 2010 season.

COLUMBIA, KY - The 10th-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team travels to Williamsburg, Kentucky, to take on Cumberlands (KY) at 6pmCT/7pmET, Monday at the O. Wayne Rollins Center, 6178 College Station Drive, Williamsburg, KY 40769.



The Blue Raiders (28-2, 12-0 MSC) are riding a program-best 24 match win streak after defeating Campbellsville (KY) 3-1 on Oct. 30. The win also clinched at least a share of the Mid-South Conference regular-season title. The team totaled a .288 hitting percentage and is currently ranked No. 5 in the NAIA with a .292 hitting percentage.

Nadelina Nesheva matched a season-high 16 kills in the win, while Yennifer Ramirez added 15 kills. Makenzie Montano posted 37 assists, making it her fourth-straight game with at least 30 assists.

Nesheva leads the squad with 278 kills and Montano has a team-high 856 assists to lead Lindsey Wilson this season.

Cumberlands (20-11, 5-7 MSC) has won three-straight matches with the most recent coming against Milligan (TN) 3-0.

Jennifer Philpot leads the Patriots with 289 kills, while Samantha Stuckwisch has a team-leading 975 assists. Sydney Beck leads the Patriots with 398 digs.

Lindsey Wilson has won the last seven matches against Cumberlands dating back to 2010 season. The two teams met earlier this year on Sept. 23 resulting in a 3-0 sweep for Lindsey Wilson. Ramirez had a team-high 16 kills and Nesheva added 11 kills. The Blue Raiders posted a .256 hitting percentage, while holding the Patriots to a .103 hitting percentage.
