Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY -- The Lindsey Wilson College Concert Choir will offer another installment of its popular "A Musical Potpourri" " at 7pmCT Thu 23 Oct 2014, at Columbia Baptist Church, 201 Greensburg, KY The concert is free and open to the public. This "A Musical Potpourri" will also feature vocalist Caitlyn Harrod, violinist Saelim Henderson and pianist Hana Park. The concert will be directed by LWC Associate Professor of Music Gerald Chafin and Music Instructor Wansoo Cho. Integrates music with other art forms: This time with video, dance, sign language One reason "A Musical Potpourri" has found favor with local audiences is because of its integration of music with other art forms -- this time with video, dance and sign language. "The integration of art forms is a unique feature that explains both the concert's title and its popularity," Chafin said. Examples of Thursday night's interpretative and collaborative numbers include:
"Yet interestingly, with all the merging of various art forms, the classics are still well-represented with pieces by Mozart and Haydn," Chafin said.
