Phyllis Mae Antle, 73, Russell County, KY (1940-2014)

She was co-owner of Antle's Furniture and was a member of Bernard Ridge Church of God. She was a native of Russell County, KY, the daughter of the late Aquille & Ima George Stephens, and was a resident of the county at the time of her death. Her husband, Bobby Lee Antle, survives. She leaves 14 direct and two step living descendants.

Phyllis Mae Stephens Antle, 73, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Funeral service for Phyllis Mae Stephens Antle will be 2pmCT, Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Lindsey Cornett officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT, Friday, September 26, 2014. Burial will be in the Bernard Cemetery in Russell County, KY. Special music by Diane Hughes, and Steve Stapp.



Pallbearers: Dustin Copley, Jordan Smith, Cody Greenwell, Jacob Greenwell, Eric Dunbar, and Craig Dunbar.

She was born Monday, October 28, 1940 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Aquille & Ima George Stephens. She died Thursday, September 25, 2014, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 10 months, and 28 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Smith and 3 brothers, Chester, Jack, and Paul David Stephens.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Lee Antle, and the following:
  • Two children: Shanda (Nathan) Skaggs, Jamestown, KY; and Melinda (Glen) Greenwell, Summerville, SC

  • Two step children: Melissa (Dean) Branscum, Eubank, KY; and Barry (Bobbie) Antle, Jamestown, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • One sister: Joyce Popplewell, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Veston Stephens, Russell Springs, KY
