Ervin Junior Blythe, age 53, of Beaumont, passed away at his home Sunday, August 31, 2014.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro. William Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Star Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 3pmCT, at the funeral home and continue Wednesday, until time of services.

He was born in Metcalfe County, June 8, 1961, a son of the late Junior Radford and Ruby Page Blythe. He died Sunday, August 31, 2014, in Beaumont, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 53 years, 2 months, and 30 days.

He was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diane Gross Blythe, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Melissa (Matthew) Shaw, Glasgow, KY; and Kayla (Marty) Bryant, Hardyville, KY

  • Four brothers: Roy (Deborah) Blythe, Edmonton, KY; Kelly Blythe, Beaumont, KY; Kenneth Blythe, Beaumont, KY; and James (Karen) Blythe, Beaumont, KY

  • Two sisters: Betty (Neddie) Whitlow, Beaumont, KY; and Bonnie (Larry) Willis, Marrowbone, KY

  • One grandchild: Kenna Briar Shaw

  • And several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
