Norine Lawrence Johnson, 91, Russell Co., KY (1923-2014)

She was a nurse. She was a native of Clinton County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Thomas Lawrence and Helen Cowan Thomas. Her husband, Grover C. Johnson, survives. She leaves 22 direct living descendants.

Norine Lawrence Johnson, age 91, S Hwy 92, Jamestown, KY, died at 4:36amCT, Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, KY.

Funeral services will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 11amCT, Saturday, July 26, 2014, with Bro. Cornett officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, July 25, 2014, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jamestown Cemetery, N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.



Norine Lawrence Johnson, 91, Russell Co., KY (1923-2014)

She was born Thursday, January 18, 1923, in Albany, Clinton County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Thomas Lawrence and Helen Cowan Thomas. She died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 91 years, six months, and five days.

She was a nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Grover C. Johnson Jr., , Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Edd Johnson (Marvin Keller) of Findlay, OH; and Joel (Rosemary) Johnson, Jamestown KY

  • Two daughters, Kay (Royce) Harris, Russell Springs, KY; and Peggy Johnson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Brother: Edward (Betty) Lawrence, North Vernon, IN

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, by one son, Grover T. Johnson; and two brothers, Norman and James Lawrence.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
