Larry Collins, Taylor County, KY (1951-2014)

He was a retired head foreman with the Kentucky Highway Department. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the patriarch of a large, respected family with deep roots in Taylor, Adair, and Barren Counties of South Central Kentucky and elsewhere.

Larry Collins, age 63, passed away at 3pmCT, Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Campbellsville, KY.

His funeral service will be held at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Jim Collison. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY.

Larry Collins, Taylor County, KY (1951-2014)

He was the son of the late Norma Faye Pike and was born Wednesday, March 28, 1951 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 63 years, three months, and 15 days.



He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

He was a retired head foreman with the Kentucky Highway Department.

He united in marriage to Donna Thompson Fox May 17, 2004. She preceded him in death June 24, 2012.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: Patrick Collins, II and wife, Karianne of Glasgow, KY

  • Two step-daughters: Diane Phillips and husband, Eric of Campbellsville, KY, and and Denise Mickey and husband, Matthew of Clarksville, Tennessee

  • One grandson: Trey Collins of Glasgow, KY

  • Three step-granddaughters: Chloe Phillips and Kaitlyn Phillips of Campbellsville, KY; and Lily Mickey of Clarksville, Tennessee
  • BR>
  • One brother and one sister: Gary Milby and wife, Marcia of Campbellsville and Sharon Stone of Columbia, Tennessee

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
