Query: Wants to know about Fairplay, KY area midwife -1930s Writer is interested in learning more about the Murphy family By Angela Wheelock I am looking for more information about Sophia Murphy. She was the midwife who delivered my mother, Sophia Alberta Loy, who was named after Sophia Murphy. My mother was born in 1934 in Fairplay, Kentucky and Sophia Murphy was 73 when she delivered her. I would love to know more about the Murphy family because I think that Sophia Murphy may have been related to my grandmother, Nola Brummett Loy, who was born in Sparksville. Hope to hear from you. - Angela Wheelock This story was posted on 2014-07-13 03:07:51
