Vermon Wayne Smith age 77 of Edmonton died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Friday, July 11, 2014, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT,Thursday. July 10, 2014, and after 9amCT, Friday at the funeral home.



He was a the son of the late Lenver and Montie Jewell Whitlow Smith. He was a retired plumber.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Smith of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two children: Tim (wife Michelle) Smith and Debbie Anderson both of Edmonton, KY

  • Three grandchildren; Samantha (Stevie) Wilson, Sarah (Perry) Anderson and Stephanie (Dean) Anderson

  • Two great grandchildren: Kellie (Dean) Owens and Kolbie Anderson

  • Two sisters: Shirley Martin of Edmonton, KY; and Lucille Kelley of Greensburg, KY
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Phillip Smith.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
